  7. Subject: Garbled PostScript fonts with xdvi-1.8

  9. I have xdvik-1.8 running perfectly on some SGI Indy workstations
  10. but the version I have running on a SparcStation 10 under SunOS
  11. 4.1.3-U1 server using a display on a Sparc ELC sometimes displays
  12. garbled text instead of the correct glyphs from a PostScript font.
  13. I mean that the same .dvi file is displayed correctly on the Indys.

  15. The situation is quite reproduceable. Does anyone know what this
  16. problem is before I start trying to debug the thing myself? (Or
  17. has anyone out there seen this before?)

  19. The PK fonts for the PostScript typefaces were generated with
  20. ps2pk-1.4. (Surely this can't be at fault, given that some
  21. PostScript-derived fonts display perfectly, and all display
  22. perfectly on our Indys?)
